German TV

If you don’t live in Germany but still want to watch German TV, you’re in luck. The big player in the field is Deutsche Welle, whose programming is carried by many of the big cable companies in the U.S. including Time Warner, Comcast, Verizon, and the Dish Network.

Unfortunately, Deutsche Welle shows are pretty dull and boring. They are all news or talk shows. No movies, sitcoms, dramas, sports, or anything like that.

In New York City, it costs about $10 per month to add Deutsche Welle to your Time Warner cable package.

If you’re on the Dish Network, however, you can get five German channels with their German Language Plus Package for $28 per month:
